Several views of the exterior gathering area show the sculptural seat walls and the lushness of the landscape between the two levels. The building was constructed on a steeply sloping site, creating the opportunity for designing interest and drama into the two levels using careful placement of boulders on the slopes in conjunction with the stone walls, concrete steps, and landscape plantings, reminiscent of a mountain landscape.
