Mr. Barna joined
Jerry Turner and Associates, Inc. with fourteen years experience in
public and private practice. After receiving his Bachelor's degree in
Environmental Design/Landscape Architecture in 1980 from North Carolina
State University, he was employed as City Landscape Architect in Fayttetteville,
North Carolina. There he was involved in long range planning for the
City parks system including the development of master plans for specific
park sites, multi-million dollar urban streetscaping, site planning
and design for numerous public properties, and preparation of municipal
capital improvement budgets.
Since entering private
practice, Mr. Barna has worked as project manager and designer for projects
from Hartford, Connecticut to Arlington, Virginia to Atlanta, Georgia
and numerous projects in and around North Carolina.

Mr. Barna was Project
Manager/Public Facilitator for the City of Raleigh's Bicentennial Boulevard
Project, a project of the City of Raleigh Appearance Commission which
required numerous public meetings and public input through a series
of design charettes.

Mr. Barna serves
as a project manager. He coordinates and participates in the design
process on a day-to-day basis as well as oversees and participates in
the production of construction documents. Mr. Barna's experience spans
a broad spectrum of public and private practice, and includes land planning,
project management, meeting facilitation, and cost estimating.
