Mr. Turner graduated
from North Carolina State University School of Design with a Bachelor
of Landscape Architecture Degree in 1959 and has been recognized with
numerous awards for professional excellence.
As Planner for the
North Carolina Department of Conservation and Development, Division
of Community Planning, his responsibilities included the administration
and coordination of planning and development projects with government
agencies, public bodies and private associations specializing in urban
design and recreational planning.
Mr. Turner established
Jerry Turner and Associates, Inc. in 1967 and has since provided professional
planning services for recreational, commercial, residential, and institutional
projects to governmental and private clients. Mr. Turner has been involved
with numerous Master Plan projects including:

N.C. Preston, Cary, N.C.
- Regency Park,
Cary, N.C.
- The Village at
Nags Head, Nags Head, N.C.
Most recently he
was instrumental in facilitating a Master Plan for the 1000-acre neo-traditional
community of Falls River now beginning construction in north Raleigh,
North Carolina near Falls Lake. Coordination between the Owner, Development
Managers, and the City of Raleigh was particularly critical in getting
approval for some of the innovative ideas proposed.

Commitment
Mr. Turner, founder
of JTA, serves as client contact and oversees the work of the JTA Staff
on any given project. He is very involved in a wide variety of projects
from programming, master planning and conceptual design through construction
drawings and detailing.
